As the New York Times noted, "Codeine is not among the top 10 of most commonly abused drugs."

A key piece to the Patriots' success is ability to play with their safeties and linebackers close to the line of scrimmage, allowing Brady to throw away from pressure. In their Week 5 meeting with the Texans, however, it was Brady who under pressure. He had to throw the ball three different receivers, including Danny Amendola, in order to get the Patriots goal line, all while trailing by seven points. Brady's decision making was questionable, but it certainly didn't play into this.
With Devin McCourty still out for the season, Patriots have no reason to trust McCourty cover Miller, particularly at his diminutive 6-foot-3, 206-pound size.
2. After suffering his third loss of the season, and failing to come back from the loss, Patriots are on a downward spiral.

There are reasons to worry — for example, codeine can cause respiratory depression in some elderly patients and they are often prone to coughing, a side-effect that may worsen the coughs if they don't get treated.

This has led some researchers to argue the drug is so common, that its risk of harming patients is negligible. But that's not the case. In fact, study authors suggest that if codeine continues its rise as an opioid, codeine-promethazine combination therapy could become even more problematic.
